FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. One additional piece of hold luggage up to 15 kg can be booked online via Manage My Booking after you have a reservation.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Add it in Manage My Booking on loganair.co.uk. Requests made via third-party agents or via the Loganair Customer Help Centre phone lines are also accepted at a higher charge.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Only one additional hold bag of up to 15 kg may be pre-booked. No single checked bag may exceed 25 kg regardless of fare or excess paid. Cabin luggage is limited to 6 kg and 40 cm x 35 cm x 18 cm.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Additional luggage cannot be pre-booked for flights to or from Barra, Campbeltown and Tiree, or on Orkney inter-isle flights, due to aircraft constraints.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Excess baggage is a flat fee per additional bag, not priced by route or weight tier: £25 when booked online via Manage My Booking, or £30 via third-party agents or the Customer Help Centre phone lines. Sports equipment has separate fixed per-sector charges.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Loganair publishes no per-kilo overweight fee. Any single checked bag must not exceed 25 kg, and bags over the allowance are handled through the fixed-fee extra bag rather than a weight-based charge.

Do partner-operated or codeshare flights have different baggage rules?

On through-bookings containing sectors operated by another airline, the airline you booked with specifies the luggage allowance. If you booked via a travel agent with Loganair plus a partner on a through-booking, the allowance is determined by whichever airline operates the longest sector. Single checked bags over 32 kg cannot be accepted on these connecting journeys.
