Can I buy extra baggage for my Estelar flight?
Extra baggage is available for purchase, with fixed fees published for additional pieces (Equipaje Adicional) and per-kilo excess charges (Exceso de Equipaje). The airline does not document an online pre-payment flow, so retrieve your booking with Buscar Reserva on flyestelar.com or contact the airline to arrange payment; acceptance of extra or overweight bags is subject to aircraft weight and balance.
Where do I buy extra baggage?
Check the fee schedule under Guia del viajero > Servicios de equipaje on flyestelar.com, then manage your reservation with Buscar Reserva on the homepage or contact the Call Center at (+58) 0501-3783527.
How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?
Each additional piece may weigh up to 23 kg with maximum dimensions of 50 x 80 x 28 cm (158 linear cm); a bag carried with extra kilos may weigh up to 30 kg. Hand baggage is limited to 1 piece of 8 kg (10 kg to Madrid) at 40 x 55 x 20 cm. All extra baggage is subject to aircraft weight and balance.
How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?
Additional pieces are priced per piece up to 23 kg; kilos above the allowance are billed per extra kilo (1% of the base fare domestically, USD 10/EUR 10 per kilo to Madrid, 2% plus taxes per kilo to Panama).
What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?
Overweight fees are published per extra kilo with a 30 kg maximum per bag; the airline does not publish a separate oversized-bag fee, only the 158 linear cm maximum for checked bags. Fragile, perishable and valuable items (money, jewelry, negotiable papers) are not accepted as checked baggage.
Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?
PRIORITY allowance to Madrid drops from 3 to 2 checked pieces from 12 December to 16 January 2026, and all extra or overweight baggage acceptance depends on aircraft weight and balance.
