FAQ
Can I buy extra baggage online?
Yes. Additional bags and sport equipment are sold as prepaid services in step 4 'ADICIONALES' (Additional services) of the booking flow at booking.aviorair.com. Avior states that requests for additional services must be made at the time of ticket purchase.
Where do I buy extra baggage?
Online during the booking flow at booking.aviorair.com (step 4 'ADICIONALES'). You can also contact Avior by phone (0501-AVIOR-00 / +1 305 470 2203) or WhatsApp.
What are the baggage allowances and bag limits?
Carry-on: one piece of 8 kg (17.7 lbs) plus one personal item. Checked: domestic Economic 1 x 23 kg and Executive 1 x 32 kg; international Light 1 x 23 kg, Medium 1 x 32 kg, Ultra 2 x 32 kg. Each checked bag may weigh up to 32 kg (70.5 lbs) and measure up to 158 cm / 62 linear inches; prepaid additional bags are limited to 23 kg.
When should I buy extra baggage?
Avior states that requests for additional services must be made at the time of purchase, so add your extra bags in the 'ADICIONALES' step while completing the booking rather than after the ticket is issued.
How does Avior calculate extra baggage charges?
Additional bags are priced per piece with fixed USD fees by route (Colombia 80-120 USD, Curacao 40-60 USD, U.S.A. 100 USD per bag, each up to 23 kg). Excess weight is charged per kg: 1% of the base fare on domestic flights, 2% from Venezuela, and 8 USD (Colombia), 6 USD (Curacao) or 10 USD (Miami) per kg.
What are the overweight and oversized baggage rules?
The maximum checked weight is 32 kg (70.5 lbs); pieces of 33-45 kg are accepted on domestic flights subject to excess charges. The sum of dimensions may not exceed 158 cm / 62 linear inches. Baggage that does not comply with the policies will be considered cargo.
Are there exceptions or restrictions I should know?
Additional baggage is subject to the weight and balance of the aircraft; if it cannot be boarded at check-in, you must sign a voluntary separation to send it on the next flight (subject to availability). Requests for additional services must be made at the time of ticket purchase.
Can I pay for extra baggage with cards?
Avior accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards. Debit card, bank transfer and cash are also available as payment options alongside credit cards.
