Buy Baggage

Go to twayair.com and open '나의 예약' (My Booking) > '예약 조회' (Find My Booking), or on the baggage fee calculator page click '수하물 추가 구매하기' (Buy additional baggage).
Log in with your membership account, or use the non-member reservation lookup (비회원 예약) by entering your booking reference (PNR) and last name.
Select your reservation and open '부가서비스 추가 구매' (Purchase additional services).
Choose '수하물 추가 구매' and select the extra checked baggage option - 5 kg weight blocks on weight-based routes, or an extra piece on Guam/Saipan, Vancouver, Ulaanbaatar and Tashkent routes.
Complete the online payment and check the confirmation email / updated itinerary.

Buy it online at twayair.com (My Booking > additional services), or pay at the airport counter. Codeshare and interline flights cannot pre-purchase online - excess baggage is handled at the airport under the operating carrier's rules.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

How does T'way Air calculate extra baggage charges?

On weight-based routes you pay per 5 kg block online or per kg at the airport, with route-dependent rates (e.g. Incheon to Osaka: KRW 40,000 per 5 kg online / KRW 15,000 per kg at the airport). On piece-based routes (Guam, Vancouver, Ulaanbaatar, Tashkent) you pay per extra piece.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes - online pre-purchase is cheaper. Example Incheon to Osaka: 5 kg costs KRW 40,000 online but KRW 75,000 at the airport. Airport rates are charged per kg in local currency and vary with the exchange rate.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Excess weight above the free allowance is charged at the per-kg airport rate or per-5 kg online rate for the route. A single checked bag cannot exceed 32 kg - heavier bags must be repacked. Free checked size is 203 cm total dimensions (158 cm on Guam/Saipan).

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions?

Codeshare flights include only 15 kg and cannot pre-purchase baggage (operating carrier rules apply); interline segments also cannot pre-purchase. Weight pooling between travelling companions is allowed except on Guam/Saipan, Vancouver, Ulaanbaatar and Tashkent routes. Pre-purchased baggage is non-transferable and can only be bought once per person.

How can I pay for extra baggage?

Online payment follows the site's country currency setting; for departures from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia and Mongolia the charge is billed in USD. At the airport, payment is in local currency (USD is also accepted in the Philippines and Laos).

Can I get a refund for prepaid extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Pre-purchased baggage can be cancelled and refunded free of charge until 25 hours before departure; after that it is non-refundable, including when the flight itself is changed or cancelled. Weight changes are done by cancelling and repurchasing.
