Refunds for pre-purchased baggage are available until 24 hours before departure through the Asiana website (Booking Details). No refunds within 24 hours of departure, except if Asiana cancels the flight due to weather or maintenance, or if you upgrade to a higher class to the same destination. No refund for unused weight. For tickets bought on the Asiana website, refund is automatic; for tickets bought elsewhere, apply at the reservation center or branch.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions?

Pre-purchase is only for international flights, only for additional pieces (not overweight). It cannot cover excess weight. Pre-purchased allowance is non-transferable. Not available after check-in (cancel check-in first). Not available for PETC/AVIH service passengers. Purchase may be restricted due to capacity/payload, itinerary changes, or currency discrepancies. Domestic flights charge KRW 2,000/kg excess weight only.
