FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. Excess, sports and special baggage can be booked online under Services up to 48 hours before departure; fees are paid at registration.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Book under Services on sundair.com by retrieving your flight with your first and last name as spelled in the booking. Unregistered excess, sports or special baggage can also be brought to the check-in counter, where carriage depends on available hold capacity.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

Online registration closes 48 hours before departure. After that, excess, sports and special baggage can only be declared at the check-in counter at higher rates.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Excess baggage is charged per kilogram per leg. Sports and special baggage have flat per-leg fees depending on equipment type, with maximum weights per item; anything above the maximum is charged at the excess per-kg rate.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes. Online registration is cheaper on every category: excess baggage EUR 10 per kg online vs EUR 15 per kg at check-in; sports items EUR 60-80 online vs EUR 130-150 at check-in.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Free allowance is one 20 kg checked piece per adult and child (infants 20 kg, or 10 kg on Beirut/Damascus flights) plus one 6 kg cabin bag (55 x 40 x 20 cm). No single piece may exceed 32 kg. Sports items have per-type maximum weights (e.g. bicycle and golf 20 kg, diving/surf/canoe/paraglider 30 kg, SUP/waveboards 15 kg).

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Any baggage exceeding the 20 kg free allowance in weight or piece count counts as excess baggage. No single piece over 32 kg is accepted (except registered special baggage). Oversized or bulky items count as special baggage and need prior registration; carriage is only confirmed by Sundair and depends on hold capacity, safety and occupational-safety rules.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

No. All fees for additional services are payable at registration, are non-refundable, and rebooking is not permitted.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Bicycles and golf trolleys with electric drive (lithium batteries) cannot travel as sports or special baggage. Small sports items such as tennis or hockey rackets travel within the free allowance; only weight above it is charged at the excess rate. Items over 32 kg and weapons must be registered at least 48 hours before departure via customer service.
