If checked baggage exceeds 23 kg or 158 cm total dimensions, an excess baggage fee applies. Maximum single piece weight is 32 kg. Overweight and oversized fees must be arranged and paid via the LOT Contact Center at least 24 hours before departure — not available for online purchase.

Do partner-operated or codeshare flights have different baggage rules?

Yes. The baggage limits published on LOT.com apply only to flights operated by LOT Polish Airlines. For itineraries involving partner airlines or codeshare flights, the operating carrier's baggage rules apply. LOT publishes a separate Code-Share Partners Baggage Rules document in the Regulations section.

What payment methods does LOT accept for extra baggage?

LOT accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, PayPo, Klarna, Przelewy24, and BLIK for online purchases.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my extra baggage purchase?

Purchased extra services are generally non-refundable. If the service cannot be provided due to reasons attributable to LOT (flight cancellation, aircraft change), the full amount is refunded. Otherwise, the service can be reused within 24 months for the same passenger on a new flight (except LOT Bidding Upgrade, Extra Legroom Bidding, and Instant Upgrade).

Are there any exceptions to the baggage rules?

Miles & More members (HON, Senator) and Star Alliance Gold members may be entitled to extra free baggage. Passengers with children can bring a folding stroller or pushchair and baby food free of charge. Passengers with disabilities can bring up to two mobility aid devices. Medical equipment for personal use (POC, CPAP, insulin pump) is allowed.
