FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. You can add checked baggage at any time from booking until online check-in opens via the 'Manage my booking' section on frenchbee.com. After online check-in opens, you can only purchase at the airport.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

During a new booking at Step 2 'Book - Choose services', or after booking via 'Manage my booking' on frenchbee.com. Sports equipment must be booked separately from standard baggage.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

You can purchase checked baggage online during the initial booking or after booking until online check-in opens. For the best price, buy at least 48 hours before departure. After the 48-hour window, prices increase significantly.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online vs at the airport?

Yes. Booking at the time of ticket purchase gives the lowest price. Prices increase after booking (mid-tier) and are highest at the airport. For example, a 1st bag to the USA costs $70 at booking, $90 after booking, and $140 at the airport.

What are the checked baggage limits?

Each checked bag: max 23kg (50lbs) and max 158cm total dimensions (height + width + length). Maximum 3 checked bags per passenger with a total combined weight of 64kg. Carry-on: 1 cabin bag + 1 personal item, total 12kg (26lbs).

How does French Bee calculate extra baggage charges?

French Bee uses a piece-based system. The 1st checked bag has route-specific 3-tier pricing (at booking < after booking < at airport). The 2nd bag has a flat starting price regardless of route. Standard sports equipment has a separate flat rate.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

If your bag exceeds 23kg (50lbs) and/or 158cm total dimensions, you must contact French Bee customer service. Overweight/oversized items cannot be purchased online. For sports equipment exceeding standard dimensions, payment can only be made at the airport.

What payment methods are accepted for extra baggage?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, and Apple Pay are accepted for online purchases.

Can I get a refund for prepaid baggage?

Prepaid checked baggage is non-modifiable and non-refundable once purchased. If you purchased a baggage slot but need sports equipment instead, it will not be refunded — sports equipment must be booked separately.

What fare types include checked baggage?

Bee Smart and Bee Flex fares include 1 checked bag. Premium Smart and Premium Flex fares include 2 checked bags. Bee Light and Bee Light + fares do not include any checked baggage. Checked baggage is always available as an add-on for Bee Light and Bee Light + fares.
