Booking timing and channel
Advance purchase is cheaper; rates rise within 24 hours of departure and at the airport counter.

- The published table distinguishes purchases made more than 24h before departure (cheapest) from those made within 24h of departure (higher).
- Buying via 'Ma réservation' or online check-in (open 72h before departure) gives the advance rate; the airport sales counter on departure day charges the higher rate.
- Corsair states the airport counter rate is generally higher and recommends buying additional or excess baggage before departure for the best price.
- Per-route amounts are listed under 'Additional checked bags'.
Overweight baggage
Corsair applies a flat excess fee for checked bags above the included weight allowance.
- 1-9 kg over allowance200€ per bag, per trip
- Flat excess fee for any excess of 1 to 9 kg above the fare-class allowance (Economy/Premium), on flights to/from Paris, the French Caribbean (Antilles), the Indian Ocean and Africa.

Oversized baggage (hors format)
A supplementary fee applies when a checked bag's total dimensions (H + l + L) are between 159 cm and 300 cm; it is non-refundable and non-transferable, payable at the airport on departure day or during online check-in.

FAQ
Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?
Yes. Additional checked bags can be added in 'Ma réservation' on flycorsair.com, during online check-in (open from 72h before departure), or by calling Corsair customer service.
Where do I buy extra baggage?
Retrieve your booking in 'Ma réservation' (flycorsair.com) with your 6-character booking reference and last name, then click 'ajouter des services'; you can also buy during online check-in, by phone, or at the Corsair airport counter.
When should I buy extra baggage online?
Buy at least 24 hours before departure to get the cheaper advance rate; prices rise within 24 hours of departure and at the airport. Adding a bag is possible until departure day.
How many bags can I check, and what are the weight limits?
Each additional bag weighs 23 kg in Economy/Premium and 32 kg in Business; the service is capped at 9 bags per passenger including the base allowance, and the website lets you buy up to 4 additional bags. No single checked bag may exceed 32 kg.
How does Corsair calculate extra baggage charges?
Prices are set by route zone (France ↔ Africa, France ↔ Caribbean/Indian Ocean, or Réunion ↔ Mayotte/Madagascar) and by bag number, with a lower rate when booked more than 24 hours before departure.
Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?
Yes. Corsair publishes a cheaper rate for purchases made more than 24 hours before departure and a higher rate within 24 hours; the airport counter generally charges the higher rate, so buying in advance costs less.
What are the overweight and oversized baggage rules?
Overweight (1-9 kg over the allowance) is charged a flat 200€ per bag per trip on Paris/Caribbean/Indian Ocean/Africa routes. Oversized bags (total dimensions 159-300 cm) cost 100€/trip (Paris ↔ Fort-de-France/Pointe-à-Pitre/Réunion/Mayotte) or 300€/trip (Paris ↔ Africa/Île Maurice).
Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?
Additional bags are non-refundable and non-transferable to another passenger, but are modifiable and can be moved to a new flight if you change your booking; you must contact customer service to re-associate the bag because it will not move automatically.
Are there any important exceptions or restrictions?
Additional baggage cannot be bought for infants under 2 years (the accompanying adult must buy it), for animal transport (which has a separate flat rate bookable only via customer service), or for sports equipment (which has specific pricing). These rules apply only to Corsair-operated flights.
