Steps
- Go to www.airtanzania.co.tz and click 'VIEW MY BOOKING' (or open 'My Trip' from the menu).
- Enter your booking PNR and surname, then click 'View Booking'.
- In Manage My Booking, select 'Pay in advance for excess baggage' for your flight.
- Choose the excess baggage option you need and review the applicable charge.
- Complete payment and keep the confirmation email as proof of your purchased baggage allowance.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?
Excess weight above the free allowance is charged per kilogram (USD 8.00 within Africa, USD 15.00 between Africa and Asia, TZS 8,000 domestic). Special items such as bicycles, golf, fishing or diving equipment require advance reservation with the Air Tanzania Cargo office (+255 754 334 898) and a handling fee applies. A passenger's own wheelchair is free except on flights from Mumbai (USD 30) and Dubai (USD 90). Valued items such as gold, jewellery, laptops and cash are not accepted as checked baggage.
