ZIPAIR Tokyo Baggage Allowance

Free checked and carry-on baggage allowances by cabin class and route. Allowances vary by route, ticket type, and frequent flyer status — always confirm with the official baggage policy before you fly.

No free checked baggage — checked baggage is charged from the first piece on all routes and fare types.

    • Bag limits when purchased: maximum 5 pieces per person, each piece max 30 kg and max total dimensions 203 cm (sum of 3 sides). Bags exceeding 203 cm cannot be accepted (except specific sports equipment such as golf/ski). Bags exceeding 30 kg cannot be accepted.
    • Free exceptions only: Stroller (free if child's own; fee if not), Child seat (free if child's own, not permitted in cabin), One wheelchair, and other mobility aids — each checked free of charge. Subsequent wheelchairs are charged.

Free carry-on allowance is identical for all cabins, fare types and routes.

    • Excess carry-on weight can be increased to total 15 kg (extra 8 kg) by paying a route-based additional fee at least 24 hours before departure; payment not available at the airport counter on day of departure, and contact-center payment incurs approx. 1,000 yen handling fee. Size/quantity excess or weight over 15 kg must be checked as hold baggage. This extra allowance is paid, not free.

Yes. Purchase checked baggage through the ZIPAIR website via Manage Booking. There is no mobile app option.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Online via Manage Booking on the ZIPAIR website, by contacting the ZIPAIR Contact Center, or at the airport counter. A JPY 1,000 administration fee applies for Contact Center or airport purchases.

When should I buy extra baggage?

Purchase online anytime before departure via Manage Booking. Some services may not be available depending on time remaining until departure.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

How does ZIPAIR calculate baggage charges?

ZIPAIR charges a flat fee per piece per route. Prices vary by destination, ranging from JPY 4,000 (Seoul) to JPY 11,000 (Vancouver/US). The currency and amount depend on the departure city. There is no free checked baggage allowance; fees apply from the first piece.

The per-piece baggage fee is the same, but an additional JPY 1,000 administration fee applies when purchasing via the Contact Center or airport counter.
