Steps

  1. Go to nokair.com and click 'Manage Booking', or open booking.nokair.com/en/manage directly, then enter your booking reference and last name.
  2. Alternatively open the Nok Air Mobile Application or m.nokair.com and retrieve your booking.
  3. Select the flight and passenger, then choose the Nok Baggage (additional baggage allowance) option.
  4. Pick a weight package, review the total, and complete payment online.
  5. Confirm payment and keep the confirmation for your records.

Nok Baggage (prepaid additional allowance)

Weight-based packages, not per piece. Fees apply per person, per flight sector (inclusive of VAT). Prices depend on route (domestic/international) and whether purchased with the ticket or after booking. Total allowance (fare-included + prepaid) must not exceed 60 kg per passenger per flight, and each bag must not exceed 30 kg.

Excess baggage at check-in

Excess baggage above the fare allowance and any prepaid Nok Baggage is charged per kilogram at the check-in counter and/or boarding gate.

Airport flat-rate first 20 kg (fares without allowance)

Nok Lite (Light Fare) tickets include no checked baggage allowance. At the airport, a flat-rate fee covers only the first 20 kg and is payable exclusively at airport ticketing counters during check-in; weight above 20 kg is charged at the standard excess baggage rate.

Nok Special Baggage

Yes. Nok Baggage can be purchased via www.nokair.com, m.nokair.com, or the Nok Air Mobile Application, as long as it is bought at least 24 hours before departure.

Nok Baggage must be purchased at least 24 hours before departure. Buying together with your ticket during booking is the cheapest option; post-booking domestic prices rise from 23 March 2026.

How does Nok Air calculate extra baggage charges?

By weight package, not by piece: domestic packages from +5 to +60 kg (THB 350–3,000 with ticket) and international packages from +10 to +40 kg (THB 2,000–5,000 with ticket), per person per flight sector inclusive of VAT. The total allowance (fare-included plus prepaid) must not exceed 60 kg per passenger per flight, and each bag must not exceed 30 kg.

Hand baggage: 2 items up to 7 kg combined (one 36 x 56 x 23 cm bag plus one small personal item).

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Excess above your allowance is charged at the check-in counter and/or boarding gate: THB 400/kg domestic and THB 500/kg international, paid for both sectors on connecting flights. Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes. Prepaid Nok Baggage is cheaper than airport rates: e.g. domestic +20 kg costs THB 750 with ticket or THB 900 after booking, while Nok Lite passengers without allowance pay a flat THB 1,200 (THB 1,500 on Fridays–Sundays and holidays) for only the first 20 kg at the airport. Excess baggage above the allowance is THB 400/kg domestic and THB 500/kg international.

Can I pay for extra baggage with cards or other methods?

When purchased with the ticket on nokair.com: credit card, ATM, counter service, bank counter, direct debit, QR Payment, Mobile Banking, UnionPay, Alipay, or WeChat Pay. After ticket issuance online: credit card, direct debit, UnionPay, Alipay, or WeChat Pay only. Airport counters accept credit card or cash (Thai Baht at domestic stations; USD or local currency internationally).

Can I get a refund for prepaid baggage?

No. Nok Baggage payments are non-refundable under all circumstances, and Nok Special Baggage payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Are there any important exceptions I should know?

The airport flat-rate first-20-kg fee applies only to Nok Lite tickets without a purchased allowance and only at airport ticketing counters during check-in. Fares shown in foreign currencies are subject to the daily exchange rate. Special baggage must be prepaid at least 4 hours before departure.
