FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. Extra baggage can be purchased in advance through the My Booking / My Reservation section of neosair.com and during web check-in. Sports and special equipment can be added while booking or via My Reservation up to 48 hours before the flight.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

On neosair.com in the Booking Management (My Booking / My Reservation) section using the booking code (PNR) and passenger surname, during web check-in, or at the airport check-in counters. Sports equipment can also be arranged via the Neos support chat.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

Additional special services can be added up to 4 days before the flight; sports equipment up to 48 hours before the flight. Web check-in opens 48 hours before departure and closes 3 hours before departure, and extra baggage can be purchased during web check-in.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

On standard routes the extra piece costs the same during web check-in and at the airport (EUR 50 for 15 kg, EUR 75 for 23 kg). On flights to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Senegal, Kazakhstan and the United States, airport prices are tiered by piece count (1st piece EUR 100/150, 2nd EUR 200/280, 3rd EUR 250/330); the 1st-piece airport rate matches the web check-in fare, while the 2nd and 3rd pieces cost more.

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Each checked piece must not exceed 32 kg and 158 cm total dimensions (length + height + width). The number of included pieces is set by the fare on the ticket, and the allowance cannot be split into more pieces than the fare conditions allow. Allowances can be pooled across passengers on the same booking. Infants have no checked allowance (stroller only).

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

At the airport, a single piece exceeding the allowance by up to 10 kg incurs a EUR 50 penalty; from the 11th kg the passenger must buy an additional piece. On flights to Cuba, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Senegal, the United States and Kazakhstan, up to 5 kg over incurs a EUR 75 flat fee and from the 6th kg an additional piece must be purchased. No piece may ever exceed 32 kg.

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Neos charges per additional piece in two weight sizes (15 kg or 23 kg), per leg (one way). Standard-route prices differ from the higher fares that apply on flights to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Senegal, Kazakhstan and the United States.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Group pooling is allowed: passengers on the same booking can combine allowances. Humanitarian-material carriage as baggage is not possible (it must be shipped as cargo). Hoverboards are not permitted in the cabin or the hold.
