Question 2

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Accepted Answer

Question 3

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

Accepted Answer

No online pre-purchase deadline is published. Arrive early because excess baggage flies space-available: domestic check-in opens 60 minutes before departure and flights close 30 minutes before; international check-in opens 180 minutes before and flights close 60 minutes before (90 minutes before out of Cap Haitien).

Question 4

How does the airline calculate extra baggage charges?

Accepted Answer

By route and bag count: the first 50-lb bag is free everywhere, additional bags cost $25 each domestic, and $50-$200 internationally depending on destination (Kingston, Santiago, or Cap Haitien) and whether it is the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th+ bag. Bags over 50 lbs add a $20 domestic or $100 international penalty.

Question 5

How many extra bags can I buy, and what are the bag limits?

Accepted Answer

The airline prices a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bag and beyond per route and publishes no maximum number of checked bags. Each checked bag must be within 50 lbs to avoid a penalty, and bags over 70 lbs are not accepted on international routes. Carry-on is limited to one personal item of 15 x 14 x 9 inches and 10 lbs that fits under the seat.

Question 6

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Accepted Answer

Bags over 50 lbs incur a $20 domestic or $100 international penalty on top of the bag fee, and bags over 70 lbs are refused internationally. Bicycles, surfboards, canoes and kayaks are not accepted; golf bags and fishing equipment are accepted with conditions.

Question 7

Do partner-operated or codeshare flights have different baggage rules?

Accepted Answer

The General Conditions of Carriage state they apply to flights operated by Caicos Express Airways Limited or one of its codeshare partners, so partner-operated flights fall under the same conditions.

Question 8
