Go to airasia.com and log in, then navigate to 'Purchases', or open the AirAsia MOVE app.
Select your booking and choose the 'Add baggage' option.
Select a weight tier (15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg, 30 kg, or 40 kg on selected routes).
Complete payment online. Alternatively, chat with Bo on the AirAsia MOVE website or app.

Pre-booked checked baggage

AirAsia sells checked baggage by weight tier, not by piece. Prices depend on route (domestic/international) and when purchased. Official published fee schedule available.

Overweight and excess baggage

Excess baggage above the purchased allowance is charged per kg at the prevailing airport rate on the day of travel.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

How does AirAsia calculate extra baggage charges?

Checked baggage is sold by weight tier (10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, or 60 kg), not per piece. Official published prices exist for domestic routes (MYR) and international routes (17 currencies). Prices depend on route type, weight selected, and purchase timing.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online vs at the airport?

Generally yes, online pre-booking is cheaper. However, for domestic routes the airport counter first 20 kg (RM 110) can be cheaper than initial booking 20 kg (RM 159). How much extra baggage can I buy?
